Process
How DTF Printing Works
Six simple steps. No pretreatment. Works on almost any fabric — cotton, polyester, blends and more.

Step 1
Pattern Design
Prepare artwork in RIP software. Set print parameters, color profiles and layout. Import design file into the DTF printer.

Step 2
Print on Film
CMYK + White ink printed directly onto PET transfer film in mirror image. Dual print heads deliver precision and speed.

Step 3
Apply Powder
Hot melt adhesive powder evenly applied to the wet ink on transfer film. Shake off excess — only printed areas retain powder.

Step 4
Cure & Dry
Transfer film passes through drying unit. Hot air cures the powder, bonding it to the ink. Film is now ready for transfer.

Step 5
Heat Transfer
Place film on garment. Heat press at set temperature and pressure. Adhesive melts and bonds the design permanently into fabric.

Step 6
Peel & Finish
Cool or hot peel the transfer film. The design stays on the garment — vibrant, stretchable and wash-resistant. Done.

DTF Printer FAQ
How do I choose between A3, A2, and A1?
It comes down to print width and volume. A3 (30–35 cm) handles most T-shirt designs and is ideal for startups. A2 (45 cm) gives you more flexibility for larger garments and mid-volume shops. A1 (60–65 cm) is built for full-scale production — wide-format jobs, bulk orders, and running all day. If you are unsure, start with the widest your budget allows; you can always add machines as you grow.
1 head, 2 heads, or 4 heads — what is the real difference?
Print heads determine speed. 1 head = baseline speed, great for sampling and low volume. 2 heads = roughly double the speed, our most popular configuration. 4 heads = maximum throughput for high-volume production. More heads also give you redundancy — if one needs maintenance, the others keep printing. For most growing shops, 2-head is the sweet spot.
Which printhead technology should I choose — XP600, I1600, or I3200?
XP600 is the budget-friendly entry point — reliable for low-volume work. I1600 (2-channel) offers better speed and ink laydown. I3200 (4-channel) is the professional-grade choice with the highest precision and durability. Most of our A1 models support I3200. If your budget allows, go I3200; if you are cost-sensitive, I1600 is a strong middle ground.
What consumables do I need with a DTF printer?
You need four things to run a DTF printer: DTF ink, DTF transfer film (PET film), hot melt powder, and a curing oven or heat press. We manufacture the printer, ink, film, and powder — so you can source everything from us. One supplier. One quality standard. No compatibility issues.
Do you offer training and after-sales support?
Yes. We provide installation guidance, operation training, and ongoing technical support via WhatsApp, email, and video call. Two dedicated after-sales teams are on standby. Every machine comes with a warranty, and spare parts are shipped from our Guangzhou warehouse.
Still Not Sure Which Model?
