How UV DTF Printing Works
Print → cure → laminate → cut → transfer → done. Six steps from design to finished product.
1
Design
Create your artwork in any design software. CMYK+White+Varnish channels for best results.
2
Print on AB Film
Printer lays CMYK + White + Varnish onto AB transfer film in reverse order.
3
UV Cure
Built-in UV LED lamp instantly cures the ink. No drying time. No powder. Ready for lamination.
4
Laminate & Cut
Integrated laminator applies B-film. Cut the transfer to size — ready for application.
5
Heat Transfer
Position transfer onto substrate. Apply heat and pressure — bonds to hard surfaces in seconds.
6
Peel & Finish
Cold or hot peel. Scratch-resistant, waterproof, UV-resistant — ready to ship.
UV DTF Printer FAQ
How is UV DTF different from regular DTF?
Regular DTF uses pigment ink + hot melt powder for fabric transfer. u003cstrongu003eUV DTF uses UV-curable ink cured by LED lightu003c/strongu003e — no powder, no drying time. It bonds to u003cstrongu003ehard, non-porous surfacesu003c/strongu003e like glass, metal, plastic, and ceramics. Different technology, different applications.
Do I need a separate laminator for UV DTF?
No. u003cstrongu003eAll Fujia UV DTF printers include an integrated laminator.u003c/strongu003e The AB film lamination happens inline — you do not need a separate machine.
What substrates can UV DTF print on?
Glass, metal, plastic (PP/PVC/ABS/acrylic), ceramic, wood, leather, and more. Basically u003cstrongu003eany hard, non-porous surfaceu003c/strongu003e. No pre-treatment required. Not suitable for soft fabrics (use regular DTF for that).
1-head vs 4-head — what is the real difference?
u003cstrongu003e1-head (I3200HD): ~3 m²/hru003c/strongu003e — good for startups and small shops. u003cstrongu003e4-head (I3200): ~7 m²/hru003c/strongu003e — for factories running continuous production. More heads = higher speed and better redundancy. The 1-head model is an excellent entry point; upgrade later when order volume grows.
Do you offer training and after-sales support?
Yes. u003cstrongu003e12-month full warrantyu003c/strongu003e on all UV DTF printers. We provide u003cstrongu003eremote installation guidance, operation training via video call, and ongoing technical supportu003c/strongu003e. Spare parts are stocked and shipped within 24 hours.
